Garlic Mushrooms and Bacon

Serves: 6


24 medium white mushrooms

½ lb bacon (or serrano ham)

1 small onion, diced

6 garlic cloves, finely chopped

2 tbsp unsalted butter

Kosher salt and ground black pepper


Quarter the mushrooms, cut the bacon into thin strips and set aside.

Melt the butter in a medium sauté pan. Add the bacon and onions and cook until bacon is cooked through.

Next, toss in the mushrooms and cook until mushrooms are browned then add garlic and cook another 2 minutes until garlic is fragrant.

Season with salt and pepper.

Serve small portions in tapas bowls alongside fresh crusty bread.
